He will let you know straight up on what you need to know about what is wrong with your vehicle with a simple diagnostic reading on your vehicle and what needs to be repaired.

The admins staff Mark, Bryce, Dorene, Michelle are very friendly and greet you with a smile and will answer any of your questions and concerns .

The mechanics are experienced and careful with your vehicle and treat your vehicle like If it was their own.

I was told by 2 shops that I needed a new transmission. I went to Miramar Transmission on a recommendation by another shop.

They were very friendly, accommodating and communicative. Frank, the shop owner, was prompt with inspection and diagnosis. Doreen was also great!

Turns out it was not my transmission at all, but rather a wheel bearing. Wowza. They replaced my breaks and wheel bearing and my car is driving smooth as butter. They've definitely solidified a repeat customer.

WARRANTY REVIEW

This is about the Warranty they provide on newly installed transmissions. If you were thinking about using them versus anyone else for a new transmission you should read this first..

We have all been punched in the gut and kicked while we are down when it comes when it comes to warranties. Companies would rather close down and move before they honor their warranties. That's why what happened at MT is so shocking.

MT slaps me in face with a glove like it's the 1900's then grabbed me by the lapel lifts me off the ground, shakes me looks me in the eyes and says this is how warrantees really work. I didn't know what to say. They MT had just called me because it had been like 28 days and they wanted to inspect their own work. WTH who does that???

They want you to bring your car back so they can best honor their own company warranty. That is above and beyond that of the dealerships warranty on the parts. There was a literal voice on the phone, asking me to bring my car in. That they wanted to check it at or around 30 days. The warranty they get is longer than that. This is just, MT wants to make sure it's done right part of the warranty.

Look I have warrantees that warrantee the warranty and no one has ever called me to check that the work they did was flawless. Ever, never try to call a company about a warranty and you get crickets and tumbleweeds.

Slap Slap, "Are you there?" Now I see why they need the slaps, you might think your dreaming. MT didn't uproot their shop to avoid their warranty. No, they called, they reached out, they said bring it back we want to check it.

See here is where it gets even more surreal, I can't inspect the transmission. I don't really know where it is, so leaving that up to me is not really valid. They didn't leave it up to me, they wanted to make sure it was done right.

So I bring it in, this guy in a onesie takes my car drives it, lifts it up in the air and pokes the car with a stick. Then grabs another coworker buddy. They hand me my keys they are smiling from ear to ear, high-fiving each other that they did a superhero job on the transmission and that it's awesome.

I am awkward going, "Yay transmission stuff" but these two acting like my older car is the next space shuttle. Wow, if you need a transmission this place has a warranty that they clearly care about.

I found them on Yelp if you made it this far you know what to do next.

They repaired the transmission on my euro car. Car shifts just like new again. Only downside is that it took a while to get parts in due to shortages and the obscurity of the part I needed.

Also, I came in knowing exactly what work my car required and had to stick to my guns to only have that work done.

With that said, the price was more than fair for the work rendered. And the repair is still good today, so they know what they are doing, and did an excellent job.

Would recommend, especially if you have a unique\dealer-locked transmission.

Bought a used car and took it to a local San Diego mechanic (Wolf's Foreign Car Service) for a pre-purchase inspection during the grace period. They detected a transmission issue and referred us to Miramar Transmission.

This means that it might not be the most practical option if you're looking to diagnose the problem and then move your car to another shop for a second opinion.
